I have years of experience as a freelance designer, working with clients of different sizes. Recently, I’ve also been the Art Director for the business students’ association at Aalto University and a visual journalist at the newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet.
I spent most of 2025 working with UX/UI design at Sanoma. I applied for a Trainee position because I’d never done this type of design before and saw it as a great opportunity to gain a new, highly relevant skill in my field. My tasks included customer interviews, prototyping, and interface design for the company’s news sites and apps. I also worked in their Design System team, where I was responsible for icon and pictogram design.
My works are defined by their clear frameworks and deliberate visuals. It’s not just about looking nice: I need to know why and for whom I’m designing. I’m passionate about finding the right combinations of colors, type, and imagery to send the desired message.

Bachelor of Social Sciences
Journalism

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Graphic Design. I have a broad interest in the world—visual and otherwise—which is reflected in the subjects I’ve minored in over the years. They include Political Science, Film and Television Studies, and Pattern Design.
During my time at Lahden Muotoiluinstituutti, I spent a year studying abroad at the University of Kansas in the United States. When there, I focused on learning new things, taking classes in subjects like Motion Graphics, Handlettering, and Packaging Design.
My curiosity helps me find diverse sources of inspiration, and to design with quality, balance, playfulness, and attention to detail in mind.

Reading
I’m always open to new challenges. For example, I’m keen on doing more Website Design, Motion Graphics, and Photography. I trust I’ll learn any skill I don’t already master, since becoming even better at what I do is a huge professional motivator for me. Former colleagues have often complimented my ability to quickly pick up new things.
I’m into learning new things in my free time, as well. Right now, you’re about equally likely to find me in front of a sewing machine making a new dress, by the piano learning some beginner-friendly Beatles tune, or on the tennis court working on my hopeless backhand. I also really enjoy getting to know new people, so let’s grab some coffee and connect!
