——  I started this (very!) personal project in order to document my life. My memory is appalling, so I decided I would snap one instant picture each day in 2020, and write a diary entry to go with it. I was hoping this would help me remember ‘an ordinary year in my life’. Ironic! Little did I know... Obviously, the year turned out to be anything but ordinary for any of us.

——  But it wasn’t the pandemic alone for me: 2020 also spelled the end of an 11-year-long relationship and a cancer diagnosis for my father, who I’d only recently gotten to know. It was the strangest and scariest year of my life, and it seems almost fated that I should have decided to chronicle it. Most of the content is too personal to publish, but I’ve chosen snapshots.
